The San Mateo Community College District is a three-college district located between San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The College of San Mateo, Canada College in Redwood City, and Skyline College in San Bruno serve more than 40,000 students each year and offer the first two years of instruction in a wide variety of 4-year college transfer programs as well as more than 90 vocational-technical programs.
Their varied degree and certificate programs prepare students for immediate employment in such areas as health careers, computer sciences, telecommunications, administration of justice, technical arts and graphics, automotive and a variety of office careers. Students can earn either Associate in Arts or Science degrees or receive Certificates of Proficiency in their chosen fields. The District also offers developmental education to prepare students for college studies, upgrade training for working professionals and quality transfer programs.
Anyone who is a high school graduate or 18 years of age or older can select from thousands of courses offered at convenient times on the campuses and at a number of off-campus locations.
