Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc. (FLY) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce juvenile crime and incarceration through legal education, mentoring, and peer leadership training. FLY serves over 3,000 at-risk youth per year, including youth in the juvenile justice system.
QUALIFICATIONS
FLY is looking for dedicated volunteers to work with at-risk/ probation youth in a classroom setting. Ideal candidates must:
• Be 21 years old.
• Have a valid California Driver’s License/ Registration/ Insurance (preferable)
• Have a passion for working with at-risk youth.
• Experience working with youth preferred, but not necessary.
This is a great opportunity to:

• Make a difference in the lives of youth!
High School- Legal Eagle/Law Program: Teach FLY’s Law-Related Education curriculum over the course of 13 weeks. This includes 12 weekly two hour sessions, a Saturday field trip, and a recognition ceremony to celebrate the youth’s accomplishments.
REQUIREMENTS
• Attend a total of 30 hours of training throughout the first semester of teaching.
• Ability to commit 4 hours per week to the program.
