Friendship Center Volunteer
Friendship Centers provide social and recreational opportunities for people with mental illness. Activities include arts and crafts, day trips, socialization opportunities, games and more.Volunteers are needed to help lead activities Monday and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
We welcome volunteers who:
* Are at least 18 years of age
* Enjoy working with people
* Have a good sense of humor and upbeat personality
* Have good listening and communication skills
* Will commit to at least 2-4 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
Friendship Center meetings are held in church halls and community rooms located near public transportation in the following cities:
* Daly City
* San Mateo
* Belmont
* San Carlos
* Redwood City
* East Palo Alto
