The community is endeavoring to develop a center that will offer opportunities for people to learn more about living more sustainably in a suburban setting. It focuses on Reduce,Reuse,Recycle including extensive use of recycled building materials; organic gardening with about 10,000 square feet of organic gardens, about three dozen fruit trees, extensive composting including vermiculture and compost tea as well as more typical hot compost; conscious consumerism; social and/or political activism; and personal growth.
